~ Eclectic Paradise ~
Think bold, bright & clashing prints as we get ready for a super luxe summer of ‘notice me dressing’ with the launch of Irish highstreet favourite A|wear’s high summer collection ’10. Vibrant African & marine influenced style prints lead the way for a season full of eye popping shades of fuchsia, purple, emerald green & electric blue, all delivered through flowing chiffon maxi dresses, playful print shifts & bold t-shirt dresses.
Speaking on the launch of high summer, Brand CEO A|wear, Annmarie Flood said “Our Irish customers have always loved colour especially for summer so we’ve delivered a season full of print & bold colour driven pieces. The A|wear buying team travelled the globe in search of inspiration for this season’s collection. The bright & bold coloured backs of Miami, LA & Tokyo are clearly seen across the must have pieces from the bright pink playsuit & graphic printed shift down to the scuba style printed ruffle minis. It’s a bold, bright & daring season that we’re really excited about.”
Dresses & Skirts
Paying tribute to McQueen & DKNY, dresses come in both short & long this season. The 100% silk maxi dress (€68) takes prime position in a flowing chiffon bandeau shape…think vivid purple & jade green tones, worn simply with flat sandals & an oversized bag. The shift dress is also a staple for the season ahead but now with added details. Think electric blue graphic prints offset with ruffle hem details (€45) or the deep emerald green style (€50) finished with beaded embellishment. Wear with super high colour blocked wedges & finish off with armfuls of wooden style beads & bangles. The t-shirt dress (€35) also sticks around for summer but is updated with bold colour blending prints; it can be layered over coloured skinnies or simply worn on its own. The mini skirt (€30) also plays an important role for summer with scuba detail styles & ruffle hems taking centre stage, team them up with sequin style or bold printed vests.
Denim
The trusted blue denim jean (€25) remains but the most talked about this season will be colour driven denim. Think optic white for early summer in skinny & cropped styles followed in high summer by deep red & purple. Wear with a simple white vest and beaded accessories or be bold with colour blocking & pair them up with a clashing print. The trusty denim mini (€22) is also available in high summer followed closely by the introduction of the denim short (€20) in bold neon shades of pink & purple…the perfect accessory for your bikini and flip flops.
Blouses & Tops
One shoulder & soft ruffle detailing are the way forward this season in bold & bright prints. Pair them up with your favourite denims or tuck into a cute printed mini. Sequin detailing will also be seen on long line vests (€30) set against tropical prints while the A|wear staple vest (€8) remains in a colour palette of bright yellow, purple, jade green & fuchsia pink. Angel sleeve style tops (€35) in deep blue & purple with brass studded detailing make for the perfect addition to your summer wardrobe. Also watch out for the one shoulder satin ruffle top (€40) in electric purple & taupe shades.
Accessories
Accessories are also big & bold for summer, think oversized beach style bags in jewel toned prints with beaded detailing (€30). Must haves include the cross body style bag in electric blue with studded detailing & the bucket shaped bag (€30) in shiny metallic & bold pink shades. Wooden accessories are an absolute must this season and should be loaded up & layered….think long strands of beads in clashing colours & armfuls of bangles in candy & jewel colours.
