COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION OFFERS MORE SERVICES AND BETTER VALUE FOR MEMBERS
Community Credit Union (located at Unit 326-327 Blanchardstown Centre) is one of the most exciting events in the development of the Credit Union movement in Ireland. Created through the merger of two substantial and well established Credit Unions, Clonsilla Credit Union and Premier Credit Union, Community Credit Union has been operating as one organisation since January 2010.
There is now more choice of office locations for members, with three offices located at Unit 326-27 Blanchardstown Centre, Dublin 15, Villa Park Gardens, Navan Road, Dublin 7 and Laurel Lodge, Castleknock, Dublin 15. There are many more new services available at each office with others being rolled out over the coming months, including the following:
· Great value share accounts.
· Deposit accounts to suit different needs.
· Tax efficient savings options.
· Special Rate Loans for different purposes.
· Death Benefit Insurance (DBI).
· Home & Travel Insurance.
· Bill Pay Facility.
· Direct Debit & Standing Order Payment Options.
· Express Lodgement Facility.
Commenting on the merger, CEO Aidan O’Brien said: “This is the most exciting initiative within the credit union movement in the country at present. We feel it has given us a real opportunity to expand and improve our services to members. At a time when we are constantly reading negative news about banks and other financial institutions seeking support from the taxpayer, this merger is a testament to the strength of the credit union movement in this area.”
Following the announcement of the merger, www.communitycu.ie was launched and serves to facilitate and inform members with exciting interactive functions rolling out over the next few months, including an online Newsletter.
